How to Make Dalia: Dalia Recipe For Weight Loss

Dalia or broken wheat is being a good source of your regular requirement of manganese and fiber that is much needed in your food and dalia good for weight loss. Dalia is a popular breakfast item. This recipe is very easy to cook and healthy in every aspect and gives a great taste.
INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 Cup dalia
  • 1 and 1/2 Cup Small Carrot Cubes
  • 1 and 1/2 Cup Chopped Onions
  • 4-5 Green Chillies (Finely Chopped)
  • 3 tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1 tsp Grated Ginger
  • 4 Sprigs Curry Leaves
  • 1 Cup Fresh Green peas
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • A Pinch of thing
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 4 Cups Warm Water
  • Salt to taste
PROCEDURE:
  1. Soak cracked wheat in water for 2-3 hours. Then strain and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. First, add mustard seeds then cumin seeds and a pinch of thing. 
  4. Let seeds to become light brown then add Onion, ginger, chopped Green chilies and curry leaves in it. 
  5. Cook till onion gets soft and turned in pink.
  6. Add Turmeric powder in it.
  7. Now add carrot cubes, peas and salt in it. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Mix broken wheat into it. Stir well and keep cook for another 2-4 minutes.
  9. Now transfer this mixture into a pressure pan along with 3 cups of warm water.
  10. And stir well. Close the lid and pressure cook up to 2-3 whistles. 
  11. Now remove your pressure cooker from heat or flame.
  12. Wait till the pressure releases completely.
Open the lid now, Sprinkle coriander leaves and lemon juice on the top and stir. Now serve this yummy dalia with any chutney and enjoy your healthy and delicious breakfast!
